In April 2026, six adventurous travelers joined Europe Your Own Way for an unforgettable 11-day journey through the stunning landscapes, historic cities, and rich cultures of Northern Ireland and Scotland.
Our adventure began in Belfast, where the group quickly bonded over a welcome dinner before setting out to explore the spectacular Causeway Coastal Route. Highlights included crossing the thrilling Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, marveling at the natural wonder of the Giant’s Causeway, and photographing the dramatic ruins of Dunluce Castle perched above the sea.
We continued to the walled city of Derry/Londonderry, where history came alive with our private tour guide who taught us about the region’s complex past through the famous Bogside murals and his own first hand experience.
After ferrying across the Irish Sea to Scotland, we discovered the vibrant energy of Glasgow before heading into the heart of the Highlands. From the historic grandeur of Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument to the tranquil beauty of Loch Lomond, every day offered something new.
The Scottish Highlands delivered some of the most breathtaking scenery of the trip. We traveled through the dramatic valley of Glencoe, explored Fort William, enjoyed a memorable seal-watching boat excursion, and admired views of Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the United Kingdom.
One of the tour’s standout experiences was our time on the Isle of Skye. Rugged coastlines, towering cliffs, winding roads, and picture-perfect villages showcased why Skye is considered one of Scotland’s most magical destinations.
Our journey continued through Loch Ness and Speyside, where travelers explored Urquhart Castle, searched for the elusive Nessie, and learned about Scotland’s famous whisky heritage. The combination of castles, lochs, and Highland landscapes created countless unforgettable moments.
The tour concluded in Edinburgh, where history, culture, and charm blended perfectly. Guests explored Edinburgh Castle, wandered the Royal Mile, hiked Arthur’s Seat, sampled local cuisine, and enjoyed a festive farewell dinner celebrating new friendships and incredible shared experiences.
From rugged coastlines and ancient castles to Highland adventures and lively city streets, this Northern Ireland & Scotland Discovery Tour showcased the very best of Celtic culture and scenery. Most importantly, it created lasting memories, plenty of laughs, and friendships that will continue long after the journey ended.
Thank you to our wonderful travelers for making this tour such a success. We can’t wait to return to these remarkable destinations and create even more unforgettable adventures together!
